Pilot testing now open

Turn propeller tuning into a data-driven process.

SmartTrim Prop captures standardized on-water performance data so boat owners and propeller specialists can evaluate a setup using measured results instead of relying only on descriptions, isolated speed/RPM numbers and repeated trial-and-error exchanges.

What it does today

Structured prop testing built for real water.

The current pilot workflow records five-second averaged GPS-speed samples at defined RPM points alongside boat, propulsion, propeller, load and condition metadata. It complements the broader SmartTrim Logger session so prop testing can be connected to motion, GPS and guided-run context.

Pilot testing SmartTrim Prop

  • Guided RPM/GPS speed sampling
  • Boat, engine, drive and propeller setup metadata
  • Load, passenger, fuel and water-condition context
  • Repeatable before-and-after testing
  • Customer notes and run context
  • Designed to grow into cloud analysis and professional collaboration

For owners

Build a performance history instead of a collection of guesses.

SmartTrim Prop is intended to make it easier to compare different propellers, document changes after prop work, preserve the setup behind each test and share selected evidence with a propeller specialist.

As SmartTrim Cloud develops, the goal is to connect each recommendation to the exact baseline runs that supported it and then to the follow-up test that shows what changed.

For propeller shops

Remote tuning can become a measured service.

A prop shop could own SmartTrim Prop loaner kits and send one to a customer, have the customer complete guided on-water tests, then review the uploaded results before recommending a propeller or modification. Customers who own their own SmartTrim hardware could instead grant a participating shop permission to review selected runs.

Common questions

What boaters and marine professionals should know.

What is SmartTrim Prop?

SmartTrim Prop is a guided propeller-testing workflow within the SmartTrim ecosystem. It captures repeatable GPS-speed samples at known RPM points plus the vessel, propulsion, propeller, load and condition information needed to interpret those measurements later.

Does it automatically tell me which prop to buy?

Not today. The pilot focuses on collecting standardized evidence. The longer-term platform is intended to support analysis and professional recommendations without presenting unvalidated automated predictions as fact.

Can a prop shop use it with its customers?

That is a core professional use case being designed. A shop could use loaner hardware with customers or, with customer permission, review sessions produced by customer-owned SmartTrim devices.

How does SmartTrim Cloud fit in?

The planned portal will organize customer sessions, dashboards, reports, comments and permissioned professional collaboration. A future native app is intended to bridge logger devices to the cloud when direct Wi-Fi upload is not available.
